With the famous Christian ’Finn’ Ferner at the helm, N80 Elisabeth X won the Scandinavian Gold Cup in 1951 and 1952 as well as the Silver medal in the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki behind US 83 Llanoria.
After the Olympics, Bryan Newkirk, who also owned Buzzy II purchased Elisabeth and brought her to Canada, renaming her KC9 Bibis, after his grand daughter. She sailed in the Toronto area for many years.
Elisabeth returned to Finland after 47 years, for the 1999 World Cup at Hanko in 1999.
She is currently in Sweden for an extended Stay. Elisabeth X is placed amongs the Swedish classic 6mR-fleet in Lilla Essingen, Stockholm.
Elisabeth is ”treated” with the Westsystem method and during the offseason 99/00 Jonas Lindberg (Flush) did some work on her. She won the 2000 Nordic Championships at Sandhamn and in Hanko, 2001, she came third.
